General Ballot

Through the general ballot, the students themselves exercise the supreme decision-making and controlling function.

Every member of the student body is entitled to vote.

Any matter that affects the student body as a whole can be the subject of a ballot vote. Budget plans and the fee regulations are excluded from a ballot vote.

A ballot must take place

  1. by resolution of the General Meeting,
  2. by resolution of the Student Parliament with the majority of its statutory members,
  3. upon written application by at least three per cent of all students in accordance with § 1,
  4. by resolution of the Fachschaftenrat with the majority of its statutory members,
  5. by resolution of the General Student Committee with a two-thirds majority of its members.

The procedure and regulations for the ballot are set out in the Statutes of the student body and in the Election regulations to find.

The ballot is conducted by the election council. Applications/resolutions for the ballot must be submitted to the Electoral Council enter.
