The ERP systems competence area looks at the central role of ERP systems in the IT landscape of companies against the background of a changing environment. The optimised use of ERP systems primarily includes an internal view of the value-creating and administrative processes in the company. In-depth topics are e.g. integration of processes and systems, business process modelling, evaluation of application software and business intelligence.

The competence area Collaborative Work looks at the potential of collaborative technologies for corporate use. Topics in this area include: Computer Supported Cooperative Work (CSCW) and Social Networking. The focus here is on communication and information exchange both within the company between employees and across companies between employees and suppliers, partners and customers.
