Two-subject bachelor

The two-subject bachelor's degree comprises the study of two undergraduate subjects and one elective subject in the profile area. In the profile area, you also have the opportunity to acquire key competencies that are in demand and to gain valuable practical experience. The program also provides a mobility window, for example for a stay abroad. In addition, the program enables students to set their own individual focus and develop their own personal profile. After completing the six-semester program, graduates can enter the workforce directly or continue their education and specialization in a master's program.

With this degree program, many paths are open to you: The combination options allow you to develop an individual subject or professional profile. This requires and promotes a high degree of reflection and contributes to individual personality development. The "Studying with a Profile" program supports you throughout your studies in the development of your interdisciplinary competencies, among other things with individual coaching and orientation events.

One to two subject-related internships are planned as part of the degree program. The combination of university education and professional practice opens up a wide range of career opportunities. The transition into the profession can be optimally planned and designed.

By choosing the two basic subjects, you will qualify in the chosen subject areas and acquire practical professional skills.

The Bachelor's thesis is written in one of the two basic subjects. If this is a natural science subject or the basic subject mathematics, the academic degree of Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) is awarded. If the Bachelor's thesis is written in a humanities subject, the program concludes with the Bachelor of Arts (B.A.).

Depending on the focus, this opens up exciting career prospects, e.g. in media and public relations, marketing, consulting or human resources. If your focus is on the natural sciences, you will qualify for tasks in nature conservation and environmental protection, for example. You will find future employers in the private sector, in administrations, foundations and associations.

"Profilbereich"

In the profile area, you can choose an elective subject that complements your basic subjects or opens up new subject areas. You will also acquire important key competencies. You have the opportunity to gain initial practical experience in a career-oriented internship and can take courses from the area of general studies. In the coaching sessions anchored in the curriculum, you can reflect on your personal goals. This prepares you in the best possible way for your career entry.
