Rwanda Centre and Office for Africa Cooperations
The University of Koblenz maintains numerous relationships with universities, authorities and organizations in Africa, with Kenya, Madagascar, Rwanda and South Africa being focus countries across all faculities of the university.
The cooperation in projects, research and teaching considers globally topical issues: Biodiversity, Food Security, Livelihoods, Cultural Heritage, Climate Change, Human Resources Management, Resource Conservation, Language, and also Tropical Diseases.

The Rwanda Centre and Office for Africa Cooperations is the contact for scientific cooperation and concrete development cooperation with African countries and especially with Rwanda - the partner country of Rhineland-Palatinate. Thus it creates an intensive connection between science and practice. The aim is to make previous research results visible and usable for partnership associations, for the numerous partner schools as well as for business, politics and administration and to initiate new research cooperations and projects.
On site in Rwanda, the Rwanda Centre and Office for Africa Cooperations operates a research station with laboratory, library, work and seminar rooms as well as guest rooms and thus offers members and alumni of the university ideal conditions for field research or final theses. Numerous students and doctoral candidates are already using it as part of their theses.
Furthermore, you will find support in arranging exchange semesters or internships abroad at our African partner universities or at other partner institutions.
