FIT4SukCESS

The project FIT4SukCESS of the University of Koblenz supports international STEM-students throughout their entire student life cycle. The aim of the project is to promote the systematic integration of international talent into their studies and the regional labour market. The focus is on both academic preparation and professional integration.

As part of the project, prospective international students have the opportunity to prepare for their degree programme in Germany online before they start their studies. During their studies at the University of Koblenz, they receive the support structures they need to quickly integrate into their studies and successfully shape their career future in the regional labour market. The project is organised through close cooperation between the International Relations Office (IRO) and the Interdisciplinary Career and Study Centre (IKaruS).

A central offer of the project is the FIT4SukCESS Certificate which students can complete during their studies. It consists of four modules: Preparation for Studies, Study Success, Employability and Labour Market Integration. This certificate supports students in developing their professional, linguistic and interdisciplinary competences and is a valuable qualification that improves their chances of applying for jobs on the labour market.

However, the FIT4SukCESS project is not only aimed at the success of the students, but also at the sustainable recruitment of skilled labour for companies in the region. The close networking between the university and regional business partners ensures that internationally trained STEM-talents are optimally prepared for the needs of the labour market. For companies, this means that they gain early access to highly qualified international graduates with a broad skills profile.
