Allocation procedure

The allocation of places for all events in Module 2 is exclusively done through KLIPS.
For the lecture ‘Theoretical and Empirical Foundations of Teaching’, places are generally allocated on the Friday before the start of the first week of lectures.
The seminar places for 2.2 ‘Designing Learning Environments’, 2.3 ‘Communication and Interaction in the Classroom’ and 2.4 ‘Heterogeneity’ are allocated in a two-stage, automated allocation procedure. As the seminars take place in parallel groups, please indicate in KLIPS as many priorities as possible for which you are free to take part in the seminar. This will increase your chances of getting a place.

Stage 1
The first allocation of places generally takes place on the Friday two weeks before the start of the first week of lectures. You will receive an e-mail on this Friday asking you to check whether you can take up yourallocated place. If yes, you don’t need to do anything else. If not, please deregister from the course assigned to you by the following Tuesday and select new groups if necessary. Again, please prioritise as much as possible.

Stage 2
On the Friday before the start of the first week of lectures, the second allocation of places will take place. You will then receive another e-mail asking you to check whether you can take up the place allocated to you. If yes, you don’t need to do anything further. If not, please cancel your registration for the course you have been allocated immediately.

The allocation of seminar places is therefore finalised at the start of the first week of the course. Subsequent enrolment or exchange is not possible. Exception: You have not yet received your matriculation number. In this case, please contact the Secretariat for School Education (schulpaedagogik@uni-koblenz.de) at the beginning of the first week of lectures. Please refrain from contacting individual lecturers regarding subsequent enrolment or exchange.

For reasons of equal treatment of all students, all first-semester students will initially be allocated a place in sub-module 2.2 ‘Designing Learning Environments’, as provided for in the module handbook. Any remaining places will be allocated to students in higher semesters.
In the sub-modules 2.3 ‘Communication and Interaction in the Classroom’ and 2.4 ‘Heterogeneity’, all students from the 2nd semester will initially be allocated a place. Any remaining places will be allocated to students in higher semesters.

Coursework

A prerequisite for taking the final module examination is the successful completion of coursework in one of the seminars 2.2 ‘Designing learning environments’, 2.3 ‘Communication and interaction in the classroom’ OR 2.4 ‘Heterogeneity’. You are free to choose which of the seminars you would like to complete your coursework in. This coursework must be registered in KLIPS by the deadline. Late registrations are not possible. You will receive an e-mail during the semester as soon as registration in KLIPS is possible. The coursework is designed to be reflective in all seminars and is completed during the semester. You will receive further information on this in the respective seminars.
