The MI²EO research group, headed by Prof. Dr. Harald F. O. von Korflesch, is dedicated to researching organizational change in the context of digital technologies. Our research focuses on issues that link different research areas, including information and innovation management, entrepreneurship and organization.

Our extensive teaching program is characterized by the integration of modern teaching methods and a comprehensive e-learning concept.

In addition to research and teaching, the MI²EO research group supports and promotes young entrepreneurs and entrepreneurs at the University of Koblenz (more info at www.gruendungsbuero-koblenz.de).

Research

The research of the MI²EO research group focuses on contributions to a "business organization and business information theory." The focus is on questions that link the different scientific disciplines, information and innovation management, entrepreneurship and organization. Based on an open innovation approach, these four disciplines play a central role. The aim of the research is to contribute to a meaningful design-oriented theory of organizational change in open innovation processes by scientifically addressing management-relevant issues in the areas of information and innovation management, entrepreneurship and organizational balancing. In detail, this results in a variety of interrelated research areas:

Transfer

ZIFET is a central scientific institution at the University of Koblenz. It coordinates all start-up-related projects and measures in research and teaching. Furthermore, ZIFET is the central academic contact for all matters of national and international knowledge and technology transfer.

In order to closely link teaching and research, the MI²EO research group has a broad network of partners from practice, associations and other scientific institutes. Within research, the spectrum of possible cooperations ranges from practice-oriented Bachelor's and Master's theses, studies, expert opinions or consulting services to research projects lasting several years. Within teaching, guest lectures, project seminars or case studies are another possibility of cooperation.
