Photo Upload

At the bottom of this page, you will find the link to upload a photo for the printing of your UniCard. Uploading unsuitable images can lead to considerable delays in the production of your card. Therefore, please note the requirements and sample images given below.

If you have not yet applied for a username and password for the university's online area (e.g. KLIPS), please first follow the instructions for setting up a computer ID.

To produce your UniCard, we need a picture of your ID card. Please upload this immediately after your enrolment so that your card can be produced and issued in time for the start of your studies. Photos that fulfil the requirements for passport photos in Germany are particularly suitable.

Requirements for suitable photos:

• Your face must be sufficiently large in the photo.

• The photo must clearly show your facial features from chin to the top of your head and show both sides of your face.

• Do not wear mirrored glasses, sunglasses or headgear (exception: headgear for religious reasons).

• You must be shown alone in the picture.

• Please choose a picture with a neutral facial expression in which you are clearly recognisable.

• The picture should not be older than two years.

The photo must also fulfil the following technical requirements:

• File format: JPEG (end of file: ".jpg")

• File size: max. 2MB

• Aspect ratio: width to height equal to 3:4 (deviating ratios can cause compression of the pictures)

• Please ensure that the picture is correctly aligned to avoid transverse, compressed images.

• Resolution: at least 600 x 450 pixels

• Image section: For scanned pictures, please correct the image section accordingly to avoid files with a wide white frame and a very small passport photo.
