Mathematical Institute

At the beginning of each term, the University offers a Freshers' Week in which the individual study programmes introduce themselves and provide new students with subject-specific information about their studies. In addition, general aspects of studying at the University of Koblenz are explained. In this context, the Mathematical Institute also offers a centrally organised welcome event.

The Mathematics Institute offers disciplinary and subject-specific pedagogy in the subject, discipline of mathematics. In addition to courses related to teaching, we offer the Bachelor's degree "Mathematische Modellierung, Simulation und Optimierung" and the consecutive Master's degree "Mathematical Modelling, Simulation, and Optimisation", a study programme at the interface between theory and application.
