The department unites under its roof the scientific and didactic training of the subject Physics and the associated cooperative degree programmes Applied Natural Sciences and Applied Physics.

Research

With 4 professorships and 4 working groups, the department provides a wide range of services in applied and basic research in the various areas of surface and material physics. A wide range of research methods are utilised.
