Implementation of the farm learning centre concept

With "Lernort Bauernhof", the state of Rhineland-Palatinate is creating an extracurricular learning programme on farms and vineyards for pupils of all grades and school levels at general education schools throughout the state.

Discover, experience and understand agriculture - farms have developed special educational programmes on their farms and give pupils an insight into modern agriculture and food production on regional farms.

The aim of the project is to develop a module with which the extracurricular learning programme "Lernort Bauernhof", the basic conceptual information, the implementation of the concept, the various teaching elements and selected content can be implemented in the training of teachers.

The module with 4 SWS will be carried out from the summer semester 2023 in the Department of Nutrition and Consumer Education (EVB) and subsequently evaluated. As part of the module, numerous experts will offer workshops and present their specialist knowledge. Excursions to businesses and farms in the state of Rhineland-Palatinate round off the module.
