General overview:
If you have obtained your first degree / higher education entrance qualification outside of Germany, apply via the uni-assist portal "My assist". You can find below a list of the required documents. Please upload your application documents (in English or German) in the uni-assist portal. The officially notarised copies of the certificates have to be sent per post to the following address:

Ensure all documents are submitted and the uni-assist fee (75€ for the first choice, 30€ for each additional choice) is paid by the application deadline. Otherwise, your application cannot be considered.
After applying via uni-assist, you do not have to apply again via our university application portal as uni-assist forwards your application to the University of Koblenz once all eligibility requirements are met.

university entrance examination certificate (only for countries where it is required for admission to a programme of study)
university certificates (if you have already studied) - diploma and transcript of records with an overview of subjects and grades
Bachelor thesis, final project report or a major scientific paper - upload sufficient (for M.Sc. Web & Data Science application only)
language certificates for German or English *
APS certificate (for applications from China, Mongolia, Vietnam and India)

Only officially notarised copies of the documents (by the Embassy or sworn notary) are accepted! The notarised documents need to have an original official seal and an original signature of the certifying person.
You will not get an admission automatically. After submission via uni-assist to the University of Koblenz, applications undergo internal review by the examination committee and you will receive a decision regarding admission or rejection by the Regristrar's Office in due course.

Make sure to keep the application deadlines in mind!
Apply as early as possible!
We strongly encourage international students, especially non-EU applicants who need a visa, to apply as early as possible due to visa processing times and requirements, which can add up to five months and more.
Please also take into consideration the mailing time for your documents to uni-assist in Berlin.
Furthermore, applications through uni-assist take around eight weeks, followed by a review by the respective department at the University of Koblenz. Early applications help ensure timely arrival and successful enrollment.
