No, because you are already part of the academic year that will be bid farewell at next year's graduation ceremony.

We encourage the examiners to submit the assessments in good time before the registration deadline. The University Examination Office will inform us as soon as your reports have been received and the grades have been posted. You will then receive an invitation from us immediately.

This could have several reasons:

• You may not be included in the group of recipients of the ceremony, e.g. because you do not belong to the relevant academic year (see above). In this case, you will not be invited.
• As we usually only have the university e-mail addresses of the graduates, we will send the invitation to these addresses. However, the e-mail accounts will be deleted 6 months after exmatriculation. In this case, please contact us with your matriculation number and provide us with a new email address so that we can send you an invitation
• Something may have gone wrong with the dispatch. Write to us and we will try to solve the problem.

No, each graduation ceremony is dedicated exclusively to the graduates of the previous academic year.

The ceremony begins at s.t. (no academic quarter!), graduates take their seats in the front rows according to the seating plan, accompanying persons in the back rows. The ceremony consists of welcoming speeches, guest lectures, musical interludes and the presentation of graduation certificates and souvenir photos. At the reception afterwards, you will have the opportunity to socialise with your former fellow students and lecturers over drinks and snacks.

It takes place in the audimax in building D at the campus in Metternich.

There is no formal dress code, but most participants appear in festive attire.

You are very welcome, but please don't forget to book the appropriate places for them when you register.

The canteen, where the reception will take place, is barrier-free. The ceremony will take place in the Audimax, which is only partially accessible. We will keep the front area next to the ground-level entrance doors free for guests with walking disabilities. If you have a disability, please let us know in advance so that we can take this into account when handing over the certificates. We are also happy to open the barrier at the campus entrance for people with walking difficulties so that you can drive up to the D building by car. Simply write to us about this.

Of course, we will also be happy to schedule you for the souvenir photos. In this case, you will not receive the certificate in your certificate folder, but a letter of congratulations, otherwise nothing will change.

Please contact the University Examination Office. You can either collect your documents in person during the specified opening hours in Emil-Schüller-Straße or you can send a stamped envelope to the University Examination Office and your certificate will be sent to you by post.
