VisiOn: Visual Privacy Management in User Centric Open Environments

The project develops a "Visual Privacy Management Platform" with the aim to define, visualize and monitor the desired level of protection of one's own personal data by means of a "Privacy Level Agreement", also in connection with an analysis of the economic value of this data. A number of application scenarios in the area of public administration and health care systems are considered. The approaches developed integrate a privacy analysis with economic aspects to develop software tools that support end-users' decision making regarding the protection of their personal data. The contribution of the University of Koblenz-Landau focuses on model-based analysis of IT security risks.
