Computer Science and its Didactics

Professional Chair Dittert

The Computer Science and Didactics working group focusses on the teaching and learning of computer science from various perspectives. It develops innovative concepts and materials that are trialled and their use investigated. The focus is on ‘tangible’ technologies in which computer science and its concepts become clear through constructive, creative action and problem solving. ‘Making’ as a learning process, in which the process of developing one's own IT systems takes centre stage, uses digital fabrication as a method that is implemented centrally in the working group. The aim is to enable young people to handle, understand, critically assess and use IT systems, but above all to enable them to design these systems themselves and reflect on their impact.
