Kaouther Karoui gained her Master in philosophy from the “Institut Superieur des Sciences Humaines” in Tunis. Since 2016, she holds a position as a research assistant within the DFG-funded research project “Diversity, Power, and Justice: Transcultural perspective”, under the direction of Dr. Franziska Dübgen and Prof. Ina Kerner. Her thesis deals with justice theories in the Maghreb from a postcolonial perspective. She mainly focuses on three major Maghrebian contemporary scholars: Fatima Mernissi, Mohammed Arkoun, and Abdelkébir Khatibi.
