Get Your Dream Job in Germany: The Job Interview
Are you interested in learning how to effectively prepare for job interviews? Do you want to know how to present yourself with confidence and make a strong impression? Would you like to feel more equipped to handle challenging questions during interviews? Would you like the opportunity to simulate interviews and practice in a realistic setting?
If so, this workshop is perfect for you! Julia Barden (www.juliabarden.com), a psychologist with professional experience in HR departments at companies like Deutsche Bahn and Commerzbank, helps her clients with career orientation and the entire application process. She is also the author of books and Udemy courses focused on the German job market.
This workshop will cover the following topics:
• Procedures for online and in-person job interviews
• Frequently asked interview questions and effective response strategies
• Tips on appearance, behavior, and mindset during the interview
• Managing nervousness
In line with the workshop’s design, theory is immediately followed by practice: you will choose a job that interests you and analyze the job advertisement based on the instructions provided. Next, you will dive into the most frequently asked interview questions, practicing your responses in small group simulations to enhance your confidence and skills. There will also be time to address any individual questions you might have.
The workshop is part of the FIT4SukCESS programme, a DAAD-funded cooperation project between the Interdisziplinäres Karriere- und Studienzentrum (IKaruS) and the International Relations Office (IRO) of the University of Koblenz. The workshop is primarily aimed at international students.
