FAQ on the student council

What is the student council?

A student council means all students of a subject, e.g. Kulturwissenschaft. This student council can elect the student council representatives in a general assembly. These representatives independently represent the interests of the students, also towards the institute. In most cases, the student council is only called Fachschaft, or FSV for short. The representatives are allowed to participate in institute conferences, so that the interests of the students can be brought in directly.

How can I become a student council representative?

The General Assembly of Kulturwissenschaft elects the student representatives. Other Students can nominate every subject student - if the nominee agrees with the nomination, the election will occur. The election of the representatives must be repeated every two semesters.

How can I get information about the student council?

There are several ways to get information from and about the student council:

  • homepage: We have collected as much information as possible and presented it as a complete picture.

  • e-Mail: If you have a specific question about a topic or something like that, or if you want to share suggestions or ideas, you can also send us an e-mail at fskuwi@uni-koblenz.de. Again, we always try to answer as soon as possible.

  • plenary Meetings: When we plan a plenary meeting, we put up posters on all AStA boards and in the F-building in the stairwell.

  • office hours: Of course, we also have office hours where you can come if you have problems or questions. You can also write to us or talk to us on campus.

What are our tasks?
